Executive Director – Mega‑Scale Construction Projects

About the role

The Executive Director provides overall leadership, strategic planning, and execution for multi‑billion‑dollar, mega‑scale construction projects. This senior role ensures safety, quality, commercial success, timely delivery, and stakeholder satisfaction across complex developments such as mixed‑use, high‑rise, hospitality, infrastructure, and island projects.

Key responsibilities

• Set strategic direction and oversee business operations for large construction programmes.
• Develop and implement execution strategies aligned with organisational goals.
• Lead projects from concept through handover, ensuring safety, schedule, budget, and quality targets.
• Manage budgets, forecasts, cash flow, contracts, procurement, and commercial performance.
• Maintain relationships with clients, consultants, government authorities, and partners; represent the project at executive reviews.
• Identify and mitigate risks, ensure compliance with regulations, and champion HSE & quality standards.
• Mentor and develop high‑performing multidisciplinary teams, fostering collaboration across engineering, construction, commercial, procurement, controls, QA/QC, and HSE functions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (mandatory).
• Master’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or MBA (highly desirable).
• Minimum 20 years of experience in the construction industry, preferably leading large‑scale mixed‑use, high‑rise, hospitality, infrastructure, or island projects.
