Experienced Quantity Surveyor – Doha, Qatar

About the role

Candidzone is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor for a permanent position in Doha, Qatar. The successful candidate will manage cost control, estimation and commercial activities for building and tower construction projects.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and manage Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and quantity take‑offs.
• Conduct cost estimation, budgeting and cost monitoring throughout project phases.
• Perform valuations, handle variations and process subcontractor payments.
• Oversee commercial management and contract administration for construction contracts.
• Coordinate with site teams, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers to ensure accurate cost data.
• Provide cost control reports and support decision‑making for project stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in quantity surveying, preferably on building and tower projects.
• Proven on‑site experience with hands‑on construction exposure.
• Strong knowledge of cost control, estimation, budgeting and BOQ preparation.
• Familiarity with contract administration, commercial management and subcontractor payment processes.
• Excellent coordination skills with site teams, consultants and suppliers.
• Experience in Qatar construction projects is preferred.
• Current residence in Qatar with a valid QID and ability to join immediately.
