FHE Technician – Fuel Maintenance Specialist

About the role

The FHE Technician is responsible for performing both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on fuel handling equipment in line with USAF publications and the Performance Work Statement. The role ensures compliance with ISO 9001 quality standards and prepares assets for deployment.

Key responsibilities

• Retrieve and evaluate inbound fuel equipment, conduct visual inspections and functional checks, and clean major and minor components.
• Troubleshoot deficiencies, rebuild engines, fuel nozzles, and fuel/air valves, and replace hoses, air lines, and batteries as needed.
• Perform hydrostatic testing of dispensing hoses, calibrate gauges and meters, and document work orders and material requisitions.
• Execute corrosion control procedures, apply preservation materials, and maintain the battery charging area.
• Support temporary duty assignments and work in both shop and outdoor environments.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent with at least two years of hands‑on experience on pumping systems, gasoline and diesel engines.
• Ability to read and write basic English, interpret technical publications, and follow safety and environmental instructions.
• Valid driver’s license from the home country and ability to obtain a host‑nation license.
• Physical capability to lift/push/pull at least 50 lb and wear required PPE.
