Field Service Technician – Switchgear & Automation

About the role

Paswi Group is seeking a Field Service Technician to perform testing, commissioning and troubleshooting of switchgear and automation systems at industrial utility sites. The role involves hands‑on work with motor starters, VFDs, PLCs, instrumentation and safety interlocks.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct site testing and commissioning of switchgear, motor starters, VFDs, soft starters and PLC systems.
• Perform loop testing, instrumentation checks, HVAC and pumping system logic verification, and life‑safety interlock validation.

Required profile

• 4–5 years of solid site testing and commissioning experience in industrial utilities.
• ITI/Diploma in Electrical, Electronics or Instrumentation Engineering.
• Preferred experience in water‑treatment plant commissioning and a valid Qatar or Indian driving licence.

Required skills

• Knowledge of DOL and Star‑Delta motor starters, power and control wiring.
• Hands‑on programming and configuration of VFDs and Soft Starters.
• Practical experience with PLC wiring, testing and field instrument checks.
• Understanding of HVAC, pumping station process logic and life‑safety system interlocks.
