Finance Assistant - Cash

About the role

The Finance Assistant – Cash ensures accurate collection, handling and deposit of cash and card sales generated by QAS EBT, Porter Services, Oryx Lounge and other ad‑hoc cash activities. You will process daily cash and credit transactions, reconcile accounts, and support internal and external customers with a strong service orientation.

Key responsibilities

• Handle daily cash and credit transactions, ensuring accurate tallying and reconciliation.
• Deposit collected funds promptly at designated locations or banks as directed by Finance.
• Prepare and submit cash deposit summaries with required signatures.
• Manage petty‑cash requests in line with finance policy.
• Enter journal entries and perform data entry in the ERP system.
• Conduct bank account reconciliations and maintain related records.
• File deposit slips, cash receipts and bank mandate documents.
• Report daily cash shortages or excesses and ensure accountability.
• Prepare daily and monthly closing reports.

Required profile

• High school qualification with at least 1 year of relevant experience, or a Bachelor’s degree (no experience required).
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Strong focus on meeting deadlines.
• Professional conduct when interacting with passengers, airport staff, airlines and banks.

Required skills

• Proficiency with an ERP system for journal entry and reporting.
