Finance Manager – Travel & Tourism

About the role

We are looking for a Finance Manager with deep expertise in the travel and tourism sector to lead the financial operations of our travel business. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing accounting, budgeting, cash‑flow management and statutory compliance while driving profitability across multiple travel segments.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting and finance functions for the Travel & Tours division, ensuring timely month‑end and year‑end closes.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and management reports on revenue, margins and expenses.
• Develop annual budgets, rolling forecasts and financial models for new business opportunities.
• Manage BSP/IATA reconciliations, airline ticket sales, refunds, ADM/ACM and commission calculations.
• Control revenue streams (ticketing, tour packages, hotel bookings, visa services) and monitor gross margins by supplier and destination.
• Handle supplier and vendor account reconciliations, payments and dispute resolution.
• Oversee corporate client billing, receivables, credit limits and collection cycles.
• Prepare cash‑flow forecasts, optimise liquidity and coordinate banking activities.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS, VAT/GST, tax regulations and coordinate annual audits.
• Lead, mentor and evaluate the finance team, establishing KPIs and driving process improvements.

Required profile

• Significant experience in finance management within the travel & tourism industry.
• Proven track record of month‑end/ year‑end closing, budgeting and financial planning.
• Strong analytical mindset with a commercial focus.
• Leadership experience supervising finance staff.
