Financial Analyst – JV Facility Cost & Financial Controls

About the role

Coordinate joint‑venture (JV) facility cost and financial controls, including Opex/Capex budgeting, funding estimation, cash calls and reporting to stakeholders in compliance with operating agreements.

Key responsibilities

• Record and reconcile financial transactions, set up allocation drivers and maintain accounting books for the JV facility.
• Prepare facility budgets, funding plans, 90‑day cash estimates, cash calls and billing statements for JV owners.
• Provide cost analysis, allocation keys and excess‑usage‑fee calculations for common facilities.
• Support JV facility control management by reviewing operational documents and obtaining required approvals.
• Assist hand‑over of new facilities, ensuring accounting, treasury and system set‑up follow QatarEnergy LNG policies and IFRS.
• Coordinate monthly and quarterly reconciliation statements, QatarEnergy reports and control documentation.
• Develop presentations and ad‑hoc reports for technical committees, management meetings and facility owners.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics or commerce.
• Studying towards an internationally recognised professional accounting qualification (CPA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA, etc.).
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in joint‑venture accounting, cost accounting, budgeting, cash‑flow planning and financial reporting.
• Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and QatarEnergy LNG accounting policies.
• Experience with cost allocation across OPCO, ventures, common facilities and projects.
