Financial Planning and Analysis Manager

About the role

The client, a leading international energy company, is seeking a seasoned Financial Planning and Analysis Manager to join its Doha team. You will own the long‑term business planning process, annual budgeting and performance monitoring, ensuring the finance function supports strategic decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Lead long‑term business planning, annual budgeting and periodic budget updates, defining guidelines, timelines and key assumptions.
• Develop and maintain the business plan booklet and related budget reports.
• Ensure compliance with FP&A policies, propose enhancements to improve accuracy and efficiency.
• Perform sensitivity analyses for credit metrics and capital allocation.
• Establish performance‑management systems and support target setting aligned with business strategy.
• Implement early‑warning systems to detect deviations from financial outlooks.
• Maintain cost accounting for margins, operating expenses, G&A, CAPEX and cash flow.
• Control spending authorisation, review budget change requests and provide ad‑hoc financial analysis.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration; CPA, CMA or ACCA preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of FP&A experience, including 5 years in a managerial role.
• Experience in power, energy, EPC or project‑based environments is preferred.
• Familiarity with ERP and reporting systems such as SAP or Sage ERP.
• Previous work experience in Qatar or other Gulf countries is an advantage.
• Fluent in spoken and written English.
