About the role
Mekdam Technical Services is seeking qualified Fire & Safety Technicians for a 90‑day shutdown project in Qatar, with a possible extension. The position focuses on inspection and maintenance of fire‑safety equipment, gas detection systems, SCBA, and breathing airline systems.
Key responsibilities
- Inspect and maintain fire‑safety equipment across the project site.
- Service and calibrate gas detection systems, SCBA units, and breathing airline systems.
Required profile
- NEBOSH certification or equivalent diploma in fire‑safety equipment maintenance.
- Valid driver’s licence.
- 3–5 years of experience in the oil & gas or petrochemical industry.
- Relevant training on fire‑equipment, gas‑detection, SCBA and breathing airline systems.
- Defensive driving training preferred.
