Fleet Supply Chain Coordinator – MRO

About the role

The Fleet Supply Chain Coordinator supports Qatar Airways Technical by managing the end‑to‑end procurement of spares, components, assemblies and tools required for aircraft maintenance. Acting as the front‑face of the supply chain, the role ensures timely delivery, cost‑effective sourcing and compliance with internal approval processes.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and process Aircraft Materials Requisitions (AMRs), review price catalogues and obtain quotes from approved sources.
• Negotiate best price and minimum delivery lead‑time, including loan or exchange arrangements.
• Prepare Purchase, Exchange and Loan orders in coordination with Technical Materials Planning, Engineering, Warranty, Logistics and other stakeholders.
• Secure appropriate DOA approval based on order value before releasing orders to approved suppliers.
• Select suppliers from the Register of Approved Companies to achieve optimal price and delivery performance.
• Ensure shelf‑life items are procured with at least 80 % remaining life.
• Obtain order acknowledgement within 7 days and keep overdue orders below 5 % of total.
• Expedite overdue, potential shortage and MDD items with manufacturers and vendors.
• Monitor and process loan and exchange transactions, ensuring timely return to suppliers.
• Support Light and Heavy Maintenance events by liaising with relevant internal teams.
• Liaise with aircraft/component manufacturers and repair agencies for technical data clarification.
• Manage “Beyond Economical Repair” (BER) units according to QR policy.
• Coordinate with Accounts Payable, Stores Quality and Logistics to resolve invoices and discrepancies within 10 days.
• Assist the AOG desk by identifying alternative assemblies and supporting process‑improvement initiatives.
