Food & Beverage Hostess – Guest Reception

About the role

The Food & Beverage Hostess welcomes guests, manages reservations and seating, and supports smooth restaurant operations at Souq Waqif Boutique Hotel By Tivoli. This front‑of‑house position ensures every diner feels valued from the moment they arrive.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and escort them to their tables.
• Manage reservations, waitlists, and table assignments using the reservation system.
• Answer phone calls and respond to guest inquiries professionally.
• Coordinate with servers and restaurant managers to optimise seating flow.
• Inform guests of menu specials, promotions, and estimated waiting times.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the reception/hostess station.
• Handle guest complaints or special requests courteously and escalate when necessary.
• Monitor table turnover and seating availability.
• Provide special attention to VIP guests and occasions.
• Uphold professional appearance and company service standards.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous hospitality, restaurant or customer‑service experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Professional grooming and presentation.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
• Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
