Group Tax Manager

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Group Tax Manager to lead the direct tax function for our regional operations. The role is responsible for Qatar corporate income tax compliance, regional tax oversight, and Pillar Two OECD compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review Qatar corporate income tax returns for State and QFC entities, manage withholding tax filings and contract reporting.
• Lead responses to tax authority enquiries, audits and disputes, including objections and appeals.
• Oversee corporate tax compliance for group entities in UAE, Oman, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and other jurisdictions.
• Develop quarterly and annual tax provisions under IAS 12, including Pillar Two top‑up tax calculations and related disclosures.
• Coordinate OECD Pillar Two (GloBE) compliance, data collection, calculations and filing of the GloBE Information Return.
• Manage transfer pricing documentation, benchmarking studies and Country‑by‑Country Reporting for all relevant jurisdictions.
• Provide tax advice to business units, maintain tax calendars, risk registers and supervise the Tax Officer.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Law or related field.
• Professional qualification such as ACCA, CA, CPA or CTA; ADIT is a plus.
• 7‑10 years of tax experience, including Big‑Four or in‑house multinational exposure.
• Strong knowledge of Qatar corporate tax, GCC direct tax regimes and OECD Pillar Two.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with ERP systems and tax technology tools.
• Hands‑on knowledge of IAS 12 tax provisioning.
• Transfer pricing documentation and Country-by-Country Reporting.
• OECD Pillar Two calculations and compliance.
