Head Chef – Sushi

About the role

The Head Chef – Sushi is a full‑time, on‑site position leading the sushi kitchen in Doha, Qatar. You will be responsible for menu creation, daily food preparation and delivering high‑quality sushi and sashimi.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the sushi kitchen, overseeing menu creation, daily food preparation and high‑quality sushi/sashimi production.
• Manage ingredient sourcing, ensure optimal seafood freshness, and maintain strict hygiene and food safety standards.
• Supervise and train kitchen team members, organize workflows and collaborate with management on seasonal and special menus.
• Control costs, manage inventory and support an exceptional guest dining experience.

Required profile

• Strong culinary skills with expertise in sushi and Japanese cooking, especially seafood.
• Demonstrated leadership experience in a professional kitchen, preferably as a Head Chef or Senior Sushi Chef in a high‑end hospitality setting.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment with strong organizational and time‑management skills.
• Relevant culinary education or certification in Japanese or international cuisine is preferred.
• Fluency in English; additional language skills are an advantage.
