Head of Construction

About the role

The Head of Construction will lead a multi‑disciplinary construction team to deliver projects efficiently, safely and in line with engineering best practices. This senior position acts as the primary point of reference for resolving technical issues during the execution phase and provides constructability input for new plant or facility modifications.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, manage and organise section activities to meet schedule, scope, specification and cost targets.
• Coordinate work scope across departments, sections and disciplines during construction and shutdown execution.
• Set performance targets, provide feedback, motivate staff and participate in recruitment.
• Ensure construction activities comply with regulatory requirements, standards and good engineering practices.
• Implement comprehensive safety programs and lead safety walkthroughs and toolbox talks.
• Monitor project execution process and cost, reviewing shutdown plans and construction strategies.
• Prepare and follow‑up section budget and liaise with plant and other sections on project execution.
• Resolve construction issues, advise on change orders and ensure day‑to‑day supervision of projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical Engineering or related discipline (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum 10+ years progressive experience in Fertilizer, Petrochemical or Oil & Gas industry, including at least 3 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
