Head of Girls' School (IB PYP/MYP)

About the role

Nord Anglia Education is recruiting a Head of Girls’ School to lead the PYP and MYP divisions at Etqan Global Academy in Doha. The role provides strategic and operational leadership, driving academic excellence, pastoral care and the IB ethos.

Key responsibilities

• Set and implement strategic direction aligned with the school improvement plan and IB philosophy.
• Lead high‑quality delivery of the IB PYP and MYP programmes, ensuring curriculum coherence and progression.
• Drive high standards in teaching, learning, assessment and pastoral systems, including wellbeing and safeguarding.
• Support IB evaluation, authorisation and compliance processes and prepare for future DP and CP expansion.
• Coach, develop and hold accountable teaching and support staff.
• Build strong relationships with parents, the wider community and contribute to enrolment growth.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field (essential).
• Recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, B.Ed. or equivalent).
• Master’s degree in Education or Educational Leadership (desirable).
• Proven senior leadership experience in an IB PYP and/or MYP setting.
• Strong understanding of IB standards and experience with evaluation or authorisation.
• Demonstrated success in raising academic standards and pastoral leadership.
• Experience working in diverse or bilingual environments.
