Head of Industry & Energy (Qatar)

About the role

The Head of Industry & Energy in Qatar leads Bureau Veritas' TIC business across oil & gas, power, utilities and renewables. You will be responsible for strategy, growth, profitability and customer satisfaction, acting as the public face of the company in the region.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the Industry & Energy business strategy, owning full P&L responsibility.
• Identify and capture growth opportunities in CAPEX projects, operating assets and emerging energy transitions such as hydrogen, CCUS, solar, wind and nuclear.
• Lead bid preparation, tender response and contract negotiation for complex industrial projects.
• Maintain relationships with C‑suite stakeholders, industry bodies and local partners.
• Oversee safe, timely and high‑quality delivery of testing, inspection and certification services across project phases and asset life‑cycle.
• Ensure compliance with international codes, client specifications and local regulations.
• Drive operational efficiency, standardisation and productivity across sites, labs and field teams.

Required profile

• 15+ years of professional experience in design, operations, maintenance or related fields within the energy sector.
• Proven track record of managing large‑scale CAPEX projects and delivering profitable growth.
• Strong commercial acumen with experience in tendering, contract management and partnership development.
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders and represent the company’s values of trust, responsibility, ambition and ethics.
