Head of Procurement

About the role

Qatar Airswift is seeking a Head of Procurement to lead all procurement activities for its energy, process, and infrastructure projects. The role ensures that procurement objectives are met within scope, budget, and schedule while adhering to quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage all procurement requirements across the company’s scope of supply.
• Oversee timely novation of company‑initiated procurement activities to awarded contractors.
• Review contractor procurement activities against project management team plans to achieve cost, schedule, and quality targets.
• Steward contractor performance to ensure compliance with company procedures and requirements.
• Approve contractor procurement procedures and documentation.
• Participate in vendor quality control reviews and assist in resolving procurement issues.
• Support evaluation of prospective key vendors and manage additions to the Project Vendor List.
• Establish strategic relationships with EPC contractors, suppliers, manufacturers, and key stakeholders.
• Monitor EPC contractor procurement and materials management plans.
• Provide leadership and development to the Project Procurement Team, promoting continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related discipline.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in a business‑related function, including at least 4 years in the Oil & Gas industry.
• At least 1 year of supervisory or oversight experience of contractor/sub‑contractor/vendor personnel.
• Experience working with EPC contractors, subcontractors, and vendors in Oil & Gas projects.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse cultural backgrounds.
