Health, Safety & Environment Manager

About the role

The Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Manager will lead the development and implementation of HSE standards across all Snoonu operations in Qatar. Reporting to the Head of HR, you will act as the primary authority on worker welfare, regulatory compliance and safety governance, ensuring alignment with Qatar Ministry of Labour directives.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and enforce HSE governance across supply and fleet operations, creating policies, SOPs and scalable safety strategies.
• Serve as the main liaison with the Ministry of Labour, handling audits, inspections and all regulatory filings.
• Oversee rider accommodation inspections, ensuring compliance with sanitation, fire safety and hygiene regulations.
• Lead incident investigations, develop CAPA plans and conduct comprehensive risk assessments for hubs, dark stores and field activities.
• Design and deliver HSE induction and continuous training programs, including defensive driving, heat‑stress prevention and emergency response.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering or related field.
• NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC) or NEBOSH Diploma (mandatory); IOSH Managing Safely, OSHA, First Aid and Road Safety certifications preferred.
• Minimum 6 years of progressive HSE leadership experience, preferably in logistics or multi‑site operations, with hands‑on experience dealing with Qatar Ministry of Labour requirements.
• Native or fluent Arabic speaker for official communication with local authorities.
