HR Generalist

About the role

The HR Generalist will provide professional HR support to line managers in Doha, contributing to the implementation of the HR strategy across recruitment, organisational design, retention, reward and employee engagement.

Key responsibilities

• Act as HR consultant to line managers, helping them understand and apply HR policies and procedures.
• Drive the HR agenda with line managers and implement agreed actions.
• Support recruitment processes, including job description development and approval.
• Serve as communications hub for the HR team, ensuring information flow.
• Implement HR policies such as performance management, disciplinary and absence management.
• Advise on performance evaluation, development planning, and remuneration matters.
• Communicate company policies and procedures to the business.
• Facilitate training and coaching on HR and management skills.
• Manage employee changes and salary adjustments not involving recruitment.
• Conduct research on HR best practices and provide recommendations.
• Prepare reports, correspondence and maintain department records.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and cross‑functional HR projects.
• Build and maintain effective relationships with business support and HR divisions.

Required profile

• Proven experience providing HR consultancy and support to line managers.
• Strong understanding of HR policies, procedures and processes.
• Ability to develop job descriptions and manage recruitment approvals.
• Experience in performance management, disciplinary and absence management.
• Knowledge of compensation, promotion and transfer processes.
• Good analytical skills to gather data and produce HR reports.
• Ability to drive continuous improvement and share best practices.
• Strong stakeholder management and relationship‑building skills.
