HVAC Technician – Applied & DX Systems

About the role

The HVAC Technician (Applied & DX) is responsible for installing, operating, maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing applied and DX HVAC systems for customers in Doha, Qatar. The role requires hands‑on technical expertise, strong diagnostic capability and adherence to safety and service quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of Applied systems (chillers, air handling units, fan coil units) and DX/VRV/VRF systems.
• Diagnose electrical, mechanical and control faults and implement corrective actions efficiently.
• Support commissioning, operation and maintenance activities to ensure systems meet OEM standards.
• Identify root causes of issues, minimise repeat breakdowns and optimise system performance through servicing and parameter checks.
• Act as the on‑site technical representative, communicate findings and recommendations to customers and ensure high service quality.
• Complete service reports, checklists and job documentation accurately and on time.
• Coordinate with supervisors, planners and spare‑parts teams for smooth execution.
• Follow all safety procedures, use appropriate PPE and handle tools, equipment and refrigerants safely.
• Stay updated on product knowledge, service practices and new HVAC technologies through training.

Required profile

• Technical Diploma (ITI or equivalent) in Mechanical, Refrigeration & Air‑Conditioning or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of hands‑on experience in HVAC service, installation and maintenance.
• Strong diagnostic and problem‑solving abilities.
• Commitment to safety, quality and continuous learning.
