HVAC Technician

About the role

The HVAC Technician will join the engineering & facilities team of a luxury hotel brand in Lusail, Qatar. The role focuses on responding to guest repair requests, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring all building systems operate safely and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Attend to guest repair requests and communicate solutions.
• Perform preventive maintenance on tools, kitchen equipment, and mechanical‑room assets, including cleaning and lubrication.
• Visually inspect equipment, identify shut‑off valves, and operate utility shut‑offs.
• Maintain inventory, requisition parts and supplies as needed.
• Document daily activities and hand‑over information to subsequent shifts.
• Carry out basic repairs: plumbing (unclog drains, plunge toilets), electrical (lamps, switches, outlets), HVAC filter changes, surface preparation, painting, minor drywall and wood‑trim work.
• Use Lockout/Tagout procedures before any maintenance work.
• Perform landscaping and sprinkler repairs.
• Input air‑handler schedules and adjust temperature settings using basic computer skills.

Required profile

• Non‑management, full‑time position.
• Basic knowledge or ability to acquire knowledge in air‑conditioning, refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic controls, carpentry, kitchen equipment, energy conservation, and general building systems.
