ICS / OT Cybersecurity Technician

About the role

We are seeking an experienced ICS/OT Cybersecurity Technician to support preventive and corrective cybersecurity activities in a 24/7 oil & gas or chemical manufacturing plant. The role combines hands‑on field work with technical maintenance of critical control system assets.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on OT cybersecurity assets.
• Apply patch updates and antivirus updates to DCS, SIS, and other OT systems.
• Collect backups, support recovery processes, and verify as‑built documentation.
• Execute field tasks such as cabinet lock maintenance, cable troubleshooting, new cable laying, and housekeeping.
• Assist with installation and replacement of DCS, SIS, and related cybersecurity hardware.
• Prepare spare parts, label network cables, and support power‑cable installation in control cabinets.
• Coordinate PTW, work with maintenance teams, and enforce physical hardening measures (USB locks, access control).

Required profile

• Graduate degree or 3‑year diploma in Engineering, Computer Science, IT, Electrical, Automation, Cybersecurity or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in OT/ICS cybersecurity within oil & gas or chemical facilities; 5 years preferred.
• Hands‑on experience with DCS, SIS, OT assets, patch management, antivirus, backup, and asset hardening.
• Willingness to work in a 24/7 industrial environment with extensive field activities.
