IMS Maintenance Support Engineer

About the role

The IMS Maintenance Support Engineer will support the delivery of Maintenance Tasking & Verification at strategic and tactical levels, leveraging subject‑matter expertise to maximise operational efficiency and minimise costs. The role requires strong quantitative and analytical abilities, Lean management knowledge, and effective communication skills.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse maintenance requirements for specific aircraft or components against the Tactical Fleet plan and Fleet Maintenance Plan, creating and updating the Statement of Work (SoW).
• Develop and maintain work packages, including technical instructions, resource and material requirements for each maintenance activity.
• Plan additional and emergent work during maintenance to manage workload against schedule requirements.
• Coordinate with Fleet Planning, Demand Management, Part 145 organisations, Technical Services, Airworthiness Records and third‑party suppliers to ensure continuing airworthiness and contract delivery.
• Review and report on maintenance task performance, identify trends, and ensure compliance with safety, regulatory and contractual standards.

Required profile

• Recognised qualification to NVQ3/ONC level in Data Management or a Technical discipline, or Part 66 Category A qualification, or equivalent.
• At least five years of recent, in‑depth experience in a Maintenance & Support environment, supporting aircraft fleets and continuing airworthiness records.
• Understanding of reliability programmes, data integrity, and fleet planning impacts.
• Ability to apply Human Factors and Error Management philosophies to maintenance activities.
• Valid UK driving licence.
