Industrial Control Systems (ICS) Supervisor – Secret Clearance

About the role

The Industrial Control Systems (ICS) Supervisor will lead the operation, maintenance, and oversight of HVAC and related control systems that support mission‑critical facilities at Al Udeid Air Base. This position provides technical direction to a team of ICS technicians, ensures system availability, and guarantees compliance with DoD, Air Force, and host‑nation standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise, train and mentor ICS/HVAC technicians, assign daily tasks, manage shift schedules and conduct performance evaluations.
• Oversee the operation and maintenance of Building Automation Systems (BAS), SCADA platforms and HVAC control networks, ensuring continuous service to data centers, command facilities and aircraft support buildings.
• Diagnose complex control issues, lead troubleshooting, approve control logic, and manage system upgrades and equipment integration.
• Maintain system documentation, network diagrams, asset inventories and enforce access‑control, configuration‑management and change‑management procedures.
• Conduct safety inspections, preventive‑maintenance reviews, quality audits and ensure compliance with OSHA, Air Force and environmental standards.
• Prepare technical reports, maintenance logs and performance metrics; coordinate with vendors, contractors and base engineering, operations and IT/cybersecurity teams.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent with at least five years of experience specializing in industrial control systems.
• Master Operator Training in Building Automation Systems.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license; U.S. passport preferred; ability to obtain a Qatar residency visa.
• DoD Secret clearance (must be maintained).
• Willingness to work in extreme environmental conditions, endure long hours and be deployed 100 % overseas.
