Inspector – Lifting (Technical Trainer)

About the role

We are looking for a highly skilled Inspector – Lifting who will combine technical inspection expertise with training delivery. The role involves developing and delivering professional training programmes, supervising trainees, supporting inspection activities, and identifying business opportunities within the lifting sector.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deliver and supervise high‑quality technical training for lifting equipment inspection.
• Review and approve inspection procedures and training materials.
• Supervise trainers, ensure correct delivery of training sessions and verify trainee competence.
• Conduct inspections, verify non‑conformities and approve corrective actions.
• Identify and coordinate business development initiatives with internal departments.
• Prepare detailed inspection and training reports.

Required profile

• Degree or diploma in Mechanical, Electrical or Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification.
• 10–12 years of experience in lifting, construction or elevator inspection and training.
• Minimum 3 years of QatarEnergy‑approved inspection and trainer experience.
• Strong knowledge of international lifting equipment codes and standards.
• Experience with third‑party inspection preferred.

• LEEA qualifications (Part 1 Entrance, Lifting Gear General, Lifting Machines Manual, Lifting Machines Power).
• BS 7671 – 17th Edition, BS 2381.
• EN 81, EN 115, BS 2830.
• PED, EN 764, EN 12959, EN 12953, EN 14570, API 510.
• Hazardous Areas Training (Zone II), NDE/NDT certification.
• H2S Awareness, Breathing Apparatus training, Firefighting basics, Offshore/Sea Survival.
• Report writing and computer applications.
