Instrumentation & Control (I&C) Technician

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on field instruments, including routine calibration and documentation.
• Install, calibrate, and test pressure, flow, level, temperature, conductivity, pH, chlorine and turbidity analyzers, and conduct loop checking and signal verification.
• Maintain and troubleshoot PLCs, RTUs, HMIs, SCADA, DCS and control panels, support commissioning, valve testing, tuning and resolve communication/network issues.

Required profile

• Diploma or technical certificate in Instrumentation, Electronics, Electrical Engineering or Automation Technology; additional PLC/SCADA certifications are a plus.
• Knowledge of PROFIBUS protocols and experience with PROFIBUS‑based instrumentation such as pressure, level, differential pressure transmitters and electromagnetic flowmeters.
• Familiarity with Festo panels, Siemens PLCs, Yokogawa CENTUM VP DCS and hands‑on use of diagnostic and calibration tools (ProfiTrace, pressure calibrators, deadweight testers).
• Ability to read and interpret control wiring diagrams, I/O lists and P&IDs; experience with analyzer instrumentation (chlorine, pH, ORP, hardness, conductivity) and optional RO system knowledge.
