Insurance Manager

About the role

DOC Medical Center is looking for an experienced Insurance Manager to lead the insurance function across the organization. The role focuses on streamlining patient insurance claims, optimizing reimbursements, and ensuring seamless coordination with insurance companies to enhance patient satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end insurance operations, claims administration, and payer management.
• Manage provider agreements, contract negotiations, and insurance network relationships.
• Oversee claims submission, adjudication follow‑up, reconciliations, and reimbursement optimization.
• Monitor claim denials, disallowances, resubmissions, and revenue recovery performance.
• Ensure compliance with payer policies, regulatory requirements, and insurance protocols.
• Develop and mentor the insurance team to meet claims and revenue‑cycle targets.
• Analyze insurance KPIs, rejection trends, and payer performance metrics.
• Collaborate with Finance and Revenue Cycle teams to improve collections and reduce write‑offs.
• Drive process improvements, operational efficiency, and payer relationship management.

Required profile

• Educational qualification: MBBS, BDS, B.Sc. Nursing, or B.Pharm.
• Minimum 15 years of healthcare insurance experience in Qatar and/or GCC countries.
• At least 5 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
• CPC (Certified Professional Coder) certification preferred but not mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of the medical insurance system in Qatar.
• Proven leadership, analytical, and negotiation skills.
