Internship in Controlling (m/f/d)

About the role

This internship in the Group Reporting & Performance Management department offers a hands‑on experience in controlling at BASF. Starting in December 2026, the placement lasts between three and six months and allows you to apply academic knowledge to real‑world finance and controlling processes.

Key responsibilities

• Support budget planning, forecasting and risk‑management activities.
• Assist in the systematic analysis of financial and operational data.
• Prepare regular and ad‑hoc reports for internal stakeholders.
• Contribute to the identification of business trends and support economic decision‑making.
• Work with IT tools and systems relevant to controlling, including SAP and Microsoft Office applications.
• Participate in varied project assignments and collaborate with international teams.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing a degree in business administration or economics with a focus on controlling or finance.
• First work experience through internships, study‑related activities or abroad is desirable.
• Above‑average academic performance and strong affinity for numbers.
• Independent work approach and high commitment.
• Fluent in English; German language skills are an advantage.
