IT Operations Senior Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an experienced IT Operations Senior Engineer to lead end‑to‑end service management activities within Vodafone CU in Doha. The role involves overseeing service transition, incident handling and ensuring delivery meets Vodafone’s “right first time” standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end service management team activities and assess commercial impact of service interface changes.
• Lead post‑incident reviews for major incidents, document root causes and track remedial actions in the problem management system.
• Coordinate large propositions, supervising other end‑to‑end service managers and ensuring compliance with ITIL processes.
• Maintain a database of known errors and workarounds, and mentor new team members.
• Act as a bridge between business and service management, driving resolution of major incidents with internal and external partners.
• Ensure incidents are technically managed through to conclusion while meeting Vodafone SLA expectations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in IT or Telecom from a reputable university.
• Expert knowledge of Oracle stack components used in Telco BSS/OSS (CRM, BRM, ASAP, AIA, UIM, Oracle Service Bus, API GW).
• Experience with ERP, middleware, data warehouse, ODS and big‑data applications.
• TOGAF certification, ITIL or equivalent.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
