IT Technician

About the role

The IT Technician provides essential technical support to keep the organisation’s IT systems and equipment running smoothly. You will troubleshoot hardware and software issues, maintain infrastructure, and assist colleagues with their IT needs.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first‑line technical support for hardware and software problems.
• Diagnose, resolve, and, when necessary, escalate IT issues.
• Install, configure, and update operating systems and software applications.
• Perform regular system checks, backups, and software updates.
• Maintain accurate records of IT equipment, licenses, and inventory.
• Collaborate with the IT team to implement security measures and protocols.
• Assist colleagues with IT‑related inquiries and deliver training as required.
• Monitor performance, security, and data integrity of IT systems.
• Participate in IT projects such as system upgrades and technology roll‑outs.
• Support procurement and evaluation of new hardware and software.
