Junior Mechanic – Qatar

About the role

Aertssen Machinery Services, a member of the Belgium‑based Aertssen Group, is looking for a Junior Mechanic to join its Qatar operations. The role supports senior mechanics in the maintenance and repair of mobile and crawler cranes, ensuring safe and efficient equipment performance.

Key responsibilities

• Assist senior mechanics in diagnosing faults, troubleshooting, inspecting, and repairing mobile and crawler cranes.
• Handle mechanical issues related to motors, pumps, hydraulics, and other systems.
• Operate and maintain both simple and complex heavy industrial equipment.
• Collect and dispose of hazardous waste generated during maintenance activities.
• Maintain personal tools inventory, service records, work orders and reports.
• Complete assigned work orders within deadlines while adhering to HSE safety procedures.

Required profile

• High school diploma or technical certification in mechanical or automotive technology.
• 2–5 years of experience in mechanical maintenance of heavy equipment or cranes.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
• Ability to follow instructions and work under supervision.
• Good physical condition, manual dexterity and strong attention to detail.
