Land Surveyor – Construction & Surveying

About the role

The Land Surveyor will carry out accurate land and construction surveying activities across Qatar, ensuring compliance with approved drawings, project specifications, and local regulations. The role involves topographic, boundary, strata, subdivision and demarcation works, supporting project delivery from design to hand‑over.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct topographic, boundary and construction surveys; set out buildings, infrastructure and utilities.
• Prepare strata layouts, calculate unit areas and produce CAD/PDF drawings for authority approval.
• Develop subdivision plans, verify site boundaries and coordinate with planning authorities such as Qatari Diar and Ashghal.
• Execute on‑site demarcation, install and verify boundary markers and control points.
• Perform verification, quality control and as‑built surveys; report discrepancies to engineers.
• Prepare and submit survey reports, field notes, calculations and as‑built drawings.
• Operate and maintain Total Station, GPS/GNSS equipment and auto/digital levels, ensuring calibration.
• Collaborate with project engineers, site teams and contractors; adhere to HSE policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering or related field.
• 3–7 years of relevant experience in construction or engineering consultancy, preferably in GCC/Qatar.
• Strong understanding of surveying principles, construction drawings, coordinate systems and datums.

Required skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Experience with survey software such as Leica or Trimble.
• Operation of Total Station and GPS/GNSS equipment.
• Use of auto/digital levels.
