Laundry Presser – Housekeeping

About the role

The Laundry Presser supports the Housekeeping Laundry department at St. Regis Hotels & Resorts in Doha by ensuring that all linens and garments are processed efficiently and to the highest quality standards. This full‑time position involves handling soiled items, operating drying and cleaning equipment, and maintaining accurate records of laundry operations.

Key responsibilities

• Remove and separate soiled laundry from chutes or housekeeping carts.
• Operate washing, dry‑cleaning, and drying machinery according to company standards.
• Apply appropriate treatments to stained items based on fabric and stain type.
• Maintain accurate logs of items washed, load counts, and dry‑cleaning poundage.
• Transport washed articles to dryers, load them correctly, and monitor drying cycles.
• Clean lint screens, dry‑cleaning filters, and drain traps after each load.
• Monitor chemical levels, report potential pump problems, and follow safety procedures.
• Inspect equipment for defects and report maintenance or safety issues.

Required profile

• No high school diploma or GED required.
• No prior related work experience necessary.
• No supervisory experience or licenses required.
• Ability to stand, walk, lift up to 25 lb, and work in confined or elevated spaces.
