Lead Business Analyst (IT)

About the role

You will lead Business Analysis activities for medium to complex transformation programmes within Qatar Airways, acting as the Solution Requirements Owner for technology solutions. You will work closely with managers, vendors and technical teams to identify risks, define requirements and ensure successful delivery of business benefits.

Key responsibilities

• Translate business requirements into system features that ensure adaptability, scalability and reusability.
• Lead requirements and gap‑analysis workshops with product engineering, business users, infrastructure and cyber‑security teams.
• Create and maintain a comprehensive requirements baseline covering business, technical, functional and non‑functional viewpoints.
• Coordinate with product vendors throughout the solution lifecycle, aligning roadmaps with business needs and resolving delivery issues.
• Produce high‑quality artefacts such as business processes, user stories, use cases and exceptions.
• Support testers to ensure test cases provide adequate coverage and traceability from requirements through design, build, test and deployment.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree with at least 7 years of business analysis experience, preferably in airline operations.
• Proven track record delivering complex business and technology transformations.
• Strong stakeholder management, vendor coordination and multicultural communication skills.
• Ability to work in a dynamic environment and manage multiple parallel initiatives.

Required skills

• Business analysis certifications such as CBAP, PMI‑PBA.
• Agile certifications like CSM, PSM, PSPO, CSPO.
• Domain knowledge in airline operations, loyalty platforms or CRM solutions.
• Fluent spoken and written English.
