Lead Piping Engineer – MMUP/UPDA Grade A

About the role

Technicas Reunidas is seeking a senior Lead Piping Engineer to direct pipeline activities on major oil & gas or power projects in Qatar. The role involves overseeing design, execution, and documentation while ensuring compliance with local standards and contract requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Direct and supervise pipeline activities within the project, ensuring compliance with procedures, specifications and contract scope.
• Prepare and monitor project planning, workload management, and budget control including PPA creation and hours budgeting.
• Coordinate design specifications, edit and approve project documents, subcontract reports and progress reports.
• Manage NVAT, sign off work parts, and oversee individual production of assigned personnel.

Required profile

• Valid MMUP/UPDA Grade A engineering certification and at least 12–15 years of relevant experience, preferably in Qatar/GCC.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering and strong knowledge of Qatar engineering standards, regulations and project requirements.
• Proven experience on major oil & gas or power projects, with solid communication, coordination and technical abilities.
