Lead Structural Engineer – Power & Digital

About the role

UCC Holding is looking for an experienced Lead Structural Engineer to drive structural engineering, design coordination and technical review for major Power & Digital Infrastructure EPC projects in Qatar. The role covers the full project lifecycle from FEED and concept design through detailed engineering, construction support and hand‑over.

Key responsibilities

• Lead structural engineering activities from FEED/concept through detailed design, construction and hand‑over.
• Develop and review structural calculations, design criteria, drawings and specifications for reinforced‑concrete, steel, foundations and equipment supports.
• Coordinate structural requirements with equipment vendors and multidisciplinary teams (electrical, mechanical, civil, architectural, geotechnical).
• Review vendor documents, technical submittals, shop drawings, RFIs and resolve site structural issues.
• Support material requisitions, technical bid evaluations and provide on‑site technical support.
• Lead and mentor a team of structural engineers and designers.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• 12‑15+ years of experience in structural/civil engineering on EPC, EPIC or turnkey power, industrial or infrastructure projects.
• Strong background in reinforced concrete, structural steel, foundation and equipment‑support design.
• Experience reviewing calculations, drawings, specifications and technical submittals.
• Knowledge of wind, seismic, dynamic and other applicable structural loads.
