Learning and Development Manager – Al Messila & Sharq Village

About the role

The Learning and Development Manager will partner with property leadership at Al Messila and Sharq Village & Spa to align training initiatives with Marriott’s mission and brand values. The role ensures that all learning programs support business results, enhance guest experience, and develop employee capabilities across the cluster.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deliver customized training programs covering product knowledge, service excellence, leadership, and company philosophy.
• Conduct needs assessments, monitor enrollment and attendance, and evaluate training effectiveness using guest satisfaction data and performance metrics.
• Collaborate with operational leaders to identify performance gaps and create targeted learning solutions.
• Manage the training budget, control departmental expenses, and ensure alignment with HR and property financial goals.
• Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and support to employees and managers to reinforce learning outcomes.

Required profile

• 2‑year degree in Human Resources, Hospitality, Business Administration or related field, or a 4‑year bachelor’s degree with a certified trainer qualification.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in HR, learning and development, or a related professional area (experience not required for bachelor’s pathway).
• Demonstrated ability to lead training initiatives, assess learning needs, and measure return on investment.
• Strong understanding of adult learning principles and ability to apply them in a hospitality environment.
