Lecturer – English as a Foreign Language (EFL)

About the role

The University of Doha for Science and Technology seeks a Lecturer in English as a Foreign Language to join its Foundation Program Unit. The role involves developing, delivering and evaluating preparatory English and communication courses for post‑secondary students.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, deliver and evaluate English and Communication Skills courses within the Foundation Program Unit.
• Evaluate student progress and manage the resources of the learning environment.
• Liaise with industry and other educational institutions, participate in advisory committees and coordinate projects.
• Maintain course portfolio documents required for accreditation and engage in instructional development and improvement plans.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in TEFL or a related field from an internationally recognized university, with a relevant undergraduate degree.
• Minimum of 3 years teaching experience in post‑secondary, adult or industry training, plus preferably 3 years professional experience in the discipline.
• Fluency in written and spoken English; Arabic language preferred.
