Legal Counsel

About the role
Provide legal advice on all company activities, prepare legal documents and ensure compliance with applicable laws, policies and procedures.
Key responsibilities
- Advise stakeholders, regulators and contractors on legal issues and draft policies, regulations and governmental correspondence.
- Interpret laws, manage legal suits and arbitrations, and supervise outside counsel.
- Draft, review and negotiate contracts with contractors, customers, consultants, suppliers, buyers and lenders.
- Develop standard agreements, support investigations, represent the legal department on working groups and keep up‑to‑date with international best practices.
Required profile
- LLB or JD degree, or equivalent qualification to practice law.
- Minimum 6 years of commercial legal experience in the oil and gas industry.
- Front‑line advisory experience in a multinational, multicultural environment.
Required skills
- Contract drafting and negotiation.
- Legal research and interpretation.
- Management of litigation and arbitration processes.
