Licensed Aircraft Engineer – NDT Specialist

About the role

The Licensed Aircraft Engineer – NDT will lead non‑destructive testing activities for aircraft maintenance in a fast‑paced aerospace environment. The role combines technical expertise in multiple NDT methods with supervisory responsibilities to ensure compliance with EN4179 and company standards.

Key responsibilities

• Exercise authorization privileges to perform scheduled and unscheduled NDT inspections.
• Ensure all inspections follow the latest manuals, procedures and regulatory revisions.
• Manage a shift of NDT engineers, aligning resources with the production plan for timely task completion.
• Conduct toolbox talks and arrange training to keep the team up‑to‑date with technology standards.
• Control and maintain NDT workshop tooling in accordance with company and regulatory procedures.
• Assist the NDT Supervisor in updating procedures to reflect the latest EN4179 publications.
• Develop business cases for new NDT methods, secure financial approval and procure required equipment.
• Maintain validity of NDT qualifications for at least five methods and renew authorizations before expiry.
• Uphold the highest standards of workmanship, quality and productivity within the NDT workshop.

Required profile

• High school, vocational diploma or equivalent; or a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 4‑5 years of relevant experience.
• At least five years of job‑related experience in aircraft maintenance or a similar workshop environment.
• Holder of a minimum Level 2 NDT qualification in at least five inspection methods (Dye Penetrant, Magnetic Particle, Eddy Current, Ultrasonic, Radiography, Thermography).
• Valid company Authorization Certificate for the listed inspection methods.
• Proven track record of managing NDT teams and ensuring compliance with EN4179 or PCN Aerospace standards.
