Lifeguard – Pool & Beach Safety

About the role

Life Guard is responsible for the safety and security of our guests at the poolside. The role ensures a safe environment for swimmers, snorkelers and water‑sport participants at the hotel’s beach and pool areas in Doha.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure the safety of guests and employees within designated swimming areas during business hours.
• Keep swimming zones free of unauthorized boats, windsurfers, and sea‑bikes.
• Monitor and control water‑sport activities, supervising windsurfers, sailing boats and sea‑bikes.
• Maintain rescue equipment, including life‑saving floats, rescue surfboard, rescue boat and first‑aid kits.
• Respond promptly to any emergency in the pool or beach area.
• Log and manage the entry of windsurfers, sailing boats and sea‑bikes, ensuring they operate in designated zones.
• Set up and display correct safety flags, depth markers and temperature information during business hours.
• Report and rectify any hazards immediately in accordance with hotel policies.

Required profile

• Active certification from a recognized Lifeguard association.
• Ability to perform artificial respiration (mouth‑to‑mouth) and cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
• Capability to supervise water‑sport activities and enforce security rules.

Required skills

• CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation).
• Artificial Resuscitation (mouth‑to‑mouth).
• First‑Aid proficiency.
• Operation of rescue boat and rescue surfboard.
