Loss Prevention Officer

About the role

The Loss Prevention Officer is responsible for safeguarding the property, guests and employees by monitoring security systems, conducting patrols, and responding to incidents. This full‑time position requires a proactive approach to safety and excellent communication skills.

Key responsibilities

• Patrol all areas of the property and lock entrances when required.
• Monitor CCTV, perimeter alarm, duress and fire‑life‑safety systems.
• Conduct daily hazard inspections and respond to accidents, providing first aid/CPR as needed.
• Assist guests and staff during emergencies, defuse disturbances and escort unwelcome persons.
• Complete incident reports, shift summaries and maintain confidentiality of all security documentation.
• Investigate incidents, gather evidence and conduct interviews with relevant parties.
• Report vehicle accidents, thefts and other security events using proper code responses.

Required profile

• Ability to stand, walk or sit for extended periods and lift up to 50 lb unaided.
• Physical fitness to respond quickly to emergencies and move at required speed.
• Clear, professional communication and strong observational skills.
• Willingness to follow company policies, maintain confidentiality and uphold safety standards.
