Loss Prevention Officer

About the role

The Loss Prevention Officer will safeguard the Banana Island Resort Doha’s assets, guests, and staff by preventing theft, sabotage and other security incidents. Working closely with the Property Loss Prevention team, you will ensure a safe environment across the hotel, parking areas and event spaces.

Key responsibilities

• Guard and protect hotel property, parking facilities, documentation and equipment from unauthorized access, theft or sabotage.
• Develop, maintain and document training plans for security personnel, including certification records.
• Respond to security alarms, intrusion detection systems and fire protection alerts, ensuring timely action.
• Assist corporate security, law‑enforcement agencies and emergency responders during incidents, preserving evidence as required.
• Investigate losses, thefts and employee misconduct, produce incident reports and support inquiries.
• Monitor building systems such as gas, fire, HVAC and ventilation alarms, reporting unusual occurrences.
• Support large events and festivals by providing security coverage and coordination.

Required profile

• Ability to exercise common sense, good judgment and adhere to loss‑prevention policies.
• Willingness to collaborate with security teams, corporate offices and external authorities.
• Readiness to work on‑site in a hospitality environment, including nights and weekends as needed.
