Loss Prevention Officer

About the role

The Loss Prevention Officer is responsible for safeguarding the property, guests, and employees by monitoring security systems, conducting patrols, and responding to incidents. This full‑time position requires a proactive approach to safety and excellent communication with guests and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Patrol all areas of the property and assist guests with room access.
• Monitor CCTV, perimeter alarm, duress alarms, and fire life‑safety systems.
• Lock property entrances when required and conduct daily hazard inspections.
• Respond to accidents, provide first aid/CPR, and coordinate with EMS.
• Defuse disturbances, escort unwelcome persons, and report incidents.
• Complete incident reports, shift summaries, and maintain confidentiality of all security documentation.
• Conduct investigations, gather evidence, and interview relevant parties.

Required profile

• Ability to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods and respond quickly to emergencies.
• Physical capability to lift up to 50 lb unassisted and heavier items with assistance.
• Clear, professional communication skills in English.
• Willingness to follow company policies, safety training, and maintain a professional appearance.

Required skills

• Operation of Closed‑Circuit Television (CCTV) monitoring systems.
• Use of perimeter and duress alarm systems.
• Fire life‑safety system management.
• Basic use of point‑of‑sale or computer reporting tools.
