LOTO Supervisor – Industrial Energy Isolation Lead

About the role

We are looking for an experienced LOTO Supervisor to manage lockout/tagout and energy isolation activities on a major industrial project in Qatar. The role ensures that all hazardous energy sources are safely isolated before work starts and that isolation is verified, documented, and restored in compliance with local safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate all LOTO activities on site, ensuring proper isolation of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and other energy sources.
• Review and implement approved LOTO procedures, isolation plans and energy‑control requirements.
• Verify that isolation points are correctly locked, tagged and documented before work begins and that zero‑energy conditions are confirmed.
• Conduct LOTO briefings, toolbox talks and training for electricians, technicians and operators.
• Maintain accurate LOTO registers, isolation certificates and lock/tag records.
• Coordinate LOTO actions during testing, pre‑commissioning, commissioning, energisation and de‑energisation phases.
• Monitor field activities, stop unsafe work and report violations.
• Participate in safety inspections, audits, incident investigations and compliance reviews.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of hands‑on LOTO / energy isolation experience on industrial, infrastructure or EPC projects.
• Familiarity with Qatar HSE requirements and international electrical safety standards.
• Ability to read electrical drawings, single‑line diagrams and isolation plans.
• Strong communication and coordination skills for multidisciplinary teams.
