Malayalam Quality Assurance Lead (QAL)

About the role

We are looking for a remote, hourly contractor to lead quality assurance for Malayalam AI training projects. As the Malayalam Quality Assurance Lead, you will ensure that all AI‑generated content and trainer work meet high standards of accuracy, fluency, cultural relevance, and adherence to project rubrics.

Key responsibilities

• Spot‑check Malayalam items, identify quality issues, and provide feedback through direct messages.
• Communicate updates, guidelines, and workflow changes to trainers and QAs via Discord.
• Answer trainer/QA questions about wording, translation fidelity, cultural context, and edge cases promptly.
• Activate and re‑engage inactive contributors, track follow‑ups, and flag availability concerns.
• Create and maintain project documentation, style guides, FAQs, and onboarding materials.
• Conduct onboarding and training sessions to explain expectations, rubrics, and Malayalam‑specific style requirements.
• Ensure consistent application of language guidelines across the team and flag recurring issues for process improvement.

Required profile

• Fluent in Malayalam and English with excellent attention to detail.
• Strong written communication skills and ability to give precise feedback.
• Experience managing quality workflows in remote, distributed teams.
