Mason

About the role

The Mason is responsible for specialized maintenance, repair and installation tasks on masonry structures and plumbing systems within an Accor hotel in Doha. The role combines construction work, stone and concrete finishing, and daily plumbing upkeep to ensure guest areas and back‑of‑house facilities remain safe and presentable.

Key responsibilities

• Construct, repair and maintain walls, floors, stone cladding, concrete finishes and restore site areas.
• Operate masonry equipment such as concrete mixers, tile cutters, demolition hammers and diamond cutters.
• Maintain and repair general plumbing components, including toilets and related fixtures.
• Respond promptly to all work requests, performing daily checks of public toilets, fountains, staff lockers and kitchen tiles.
• Inspect masonry structures for cracks or damage and carry out re‑pointing, brick or stone replacement, and concrete patching.
• Apply sealants and waterproofing solutions to protect masonry surfaces.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of experience in hotel, commercial or residential masonry.
• Ability to read and follow basic drawings, measurements and work instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
• Capability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Masonry equipment operation (concrete mixers, tile cutters, demolition hammers, diamond cutters).
• Plumbing repair and maintenance.
• Sealant and waterproofing application.
• Knowledge of construction materials, methods and safety procedures.
