Materials Coordinator

About the role

Eastern Gate Trading & Marketing is seeking a hands‑on Materials Coordinator to support the Inventory Controller in maintaining a clean, safe and accurately documented warehouse. The role combines physical material handling on the shop floor with system‑driven inventory control, ensuring that all goods are received, inspected, stored, picked, packed and dispatched in line with SOPs.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain warehouse materials in an organized, clearly identified and safe environment.
• Support receiving, inspection, sorting, storage, picking, packing, issuing, returns and dispatch processes.
• Verify incoming materials against purchase orders, delivery notes and specifications.
• Segregate accepted stock, pending inspection stock, rejected or damaged items.
• Document all material movements in the ERP system and coordinate timely updates with the Inventory Controller.
• Assist with physical stock counts, cycle counts, bin‑location checks and variance analysis.
• Monitor fast‑moving items, report minimum‑stock levels and trigger replenishment.
• Ensure warehouse helpers follow SOPs, proper handling practices and maintain high housekeeping standards.
• Report discrepancies, damaged goods or abnormal stock movements promptly.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of experience in warehouse, stores, inventory, logistics or material coordination.
• Hands‑on experience with ERP or computerized inventory systems; SAP B1 knowledge is a plus.
• Background in a structured organization with strict SOP adherence.
• Familiarity with fasteners, industrial supplies, steel, MEP or construction materials is preferred.
• Basic QA/QC awareness for incoming and outgoing materials.
