Mathematics Lecturer (Higher Education)

About the role

University of Doha for Science and Technology is seeking a Lecturer in Mathematics to deliver first‑ and second‑year courses within its General Education curriculum. The role involves teaching a range of subjects such as Algebra, Calculus, Statistics, Linear Algebra and MATLAB programming, while supporting the university’s applied and experiential learning mission.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver student‑centered lectures, tutorials and labs for undergraduate mathematics courses.
• Develop authentic assessment tools and evaluate student performance in line with learning outcomes.
• Integrate technology‑enhanced learning environments, including MATLAB and the university’s learning management system.
• Participate in curriculum development, accreditation activities and departmental committees.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Mathematics or Applied Mathematics from a recognized institution.
• Minimum three years of full‑time teaching experience at upper secondary, post‑secondary or higher education level.
• Commitment to student‑centered pedagogy and continuous professional development.
• Proficiency in digital learning platforms and ability to manage learning resources.

Required skills

• MATLAB programming.
• Use of a Learning Management System (LMS) for course delivery.
