MRT Technician – Guest Room Maintenance

About the role

The MRT Technician is responsible for maintaining guest rooms, meeting rooms and public areas to the highest standards of cleanliness and functionality, ensuring a comfortable stay for all guests.

Key responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance in guest rooms, meeting rooms and public spaces, including mattress flipping, vacuuming, spot cleaning, dusting, touch‑up painting and furniture checks.
• Repair minor issues such as tightening toilet seats, changing light bulbs, patching walls and maintaining grout and caulking.
• Clean all guestroom surfaces (tubs, tiles, floors, windows, mirrors) and ensure all hardware and appliances are present and functional.
• Report serious maintenance problems, safety hazards or unusual findings to the manager promptly.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of related maintenance or housekeeping experience.
• Ability to lift, carry and move objects up to 50 lb unaided and assist with heavier items.
• Willingness to follow safety, security and company policies.

Required skills

• Preventative maintenance procedures for guest rooms and public areas.
• Basic repair skills such as tightening, light‑bulb replacement and patching.
• General cleaning techniques for upholstery, carpets, tiles and fixtures.
